Notes: Of the original 1852 edition of which 1,000 were printed, 808 copies remained loose at the headquarters of the European Mission in London. While stored, signatures 2M-2P were lost (p. 397-432). When the book was bound in 1927, these pages were supplied in facsimile. In 1930 when the remaining copies were bound, the first signature, including the title page, were lost.
