I remember when my children, Teaira and Quatez were growing up...they had no problem dreaming big. If you asked my kids, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" They would come up with an off-the-wall response that makes people scratch their heads.

They would shout with every ounce of enthusiasm and charisma. Teaira would talk about how she wanted to be a school teacher and sing all over the world. Quatez would put on his Spiderman costume and stretch his arms out to fly all over the house. Then, he would bang the soundtrack to the movie with a battery-operated, red keyboard. I never understood why the young had no fear to believe the wild. The T.V. was all they had to dream dreams. Trust and believe we were living like the movie "Friday" on a shoestring budget the whole ride, but my children had unlimited access to dream.

We make a living by what we do. We make choices based on options. We state our opinions based on what we see and how we see it, but we lose the capacity to dream based on Biblical principles.

Life has a way of depriving us without our permission. It's one thing for God to allow us to dream and it's another to see yourself as an influencer in the dream. My children didn't have this apprehension growing up, even while daydreaming they were influenced to become anything they wanted to be at any given moment. God was the influence.

I can recall as a young girl being raped and not having the best childhood memory. I would dream of winning being crowned homecoming queen at my local high school. I would see myself dressed in a statement piece with a standing ovation. My relationship with God was in a premature stage at the time, but I had a blueprint vision. Now that I'm more mature in my walk with God, my faith tries to suffocate while I imagine winning. The season of disappointments, failures, setbacks, pressure and pain will cause you to stop dreaming. As you are reading this book, many will be able to relate and connect to why God can use dreams to influence our vision. The Bible says that God placed Daniel in a position of influence by interpreting a foreign ruler's dream. Daniel had the power of influence to dream for the future and for the kingdom. I believe this is what God intended for His children to dream again. The impact this book represents has nothing to do with profiting your pleasure, but it has everything to do with a woman who dares to dream as she profits her purpose through Biblical principles.
