Dr. Takuya Nakaizumi earned a Ph.D. in economics, from the Graduate School of Economics, the University of Tokyo. His specialty is contract theory (organizational economics) and the economics of regulation. He was a former member of the Commission of Administrative Evaluation Bureau, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, Japan, helping to introduce impact assessment (IA) into Japanese government. He disseminated IA to the Government of Pakistan as a regulatory reform advisor in Pakistan appointed by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
