Mr. Ford's plot of battles and unlikely spies dovetails with history, and the book's final event, which occurred in the Mohawk Valley, is so bizarre, one would believe it to be fiction. Chief Honeoye plays an important part. But readers will enjoy sorting it out for themselves.
