In Her Wake

Lucky enough to have been adopted as an infant by a wonderful, loving couple, Neri’s affinity for the water is often a teasing point for her non-biological twin, Nelle, both born during Hurricane Gaston’s landfall in South Carolina, some twenty years past. While the latter prefers to collect sea glass along the beach, the ocean depths call to Neri. After a near-drowning and rescue by a mysterious lifeguard, Iluka, something awakens in Neri that will explain her yearning for the sea and reveal long-hidden secrets submerged in her past that will not only change her perception of herself, but how she views the entire world.
