In the Cave of Knock Tearsa

Sixty years have passed since the night of Peter and Alice's adventure on the island of Hy-Brasil, and the world has changed. As war consumes Europe and threatens to cross the narrow channel into Britain, children are sent into the hinterlands for their safety. Among these are seven brothers and sisters from Southampton who find themselves on a country estate owned by an old widower. Here in the woods they come across a cave, and stumbling through it they find themselves in another world. Here they make new friends - and discover new enemies. War erupts around them, and they find themselves inexorably drawn into a conflict perhaps greater than that they fled in England. The massive armies of seven nations mobilize and begin to converge upon Nesmieria. Gone are the days when the guardians stood watch and titans roamed the west, when spring was young upon the earth - soon, the children of the sun may follow them into oblivion, and summer be turned to winter before it has even fully begun. The seven children of Albert may not be able to defeat their enemies on their own.
