The main purpose of this book is to investigate and determine the role of inclined water jets on the mechanical performance of the splittable bicomponent hydroentangled nonwoven fabrics. The specific objective of this book is to improve mechanical performance especially tensile strength which is the measure of hydroentanglement efficiency. Furthermore in this book is comprised of two experimental components. The first is preliminary experiment concerned with impact force measurements and the evaluation of basis weight, water jet inclination angles, water jet pressure on the mechanical performance (tensile strength, tear strength, bursting strength) of splittable bicomponents hydroentangled non-woven fabrics The second is the main experiment investigating the effect of water jets inclination angle, impact force, water jets pressure and fiber types on tensile properties of hydroentangled non-woven fabrics. The results indicate that the combination of impact force and inclined water jets in appropriate conditions improved the mechanical performance, and can be the possible solution for reducing energy costs.
