This paper will discuss the decade old problems of information sharing; information viewing, and information overload and provide some ideas for solutions. The first step is to understand how the human eye views, and mind interprets information. Then a discussion on how the brain actually remembers, learns and makes decisions based on what it has seen and processed. Next this paper will present some new techniques for information visualization that can show up to one million pieces of information on a single standard computer monitor. A discussion will follow on how the lessons of the previous sections can be applied only if the Department of Defense (DOD) treats the current information systems as a weapon system. The reader should reach the conclusion that we are not in a crisis of information overload, but rather we need more information to be available to systems across platforms and across classification levels in order to make valued use of the information we already have.
