Inorganic Chemistry

This title includes a number of Open Access chapters. Inorganic chemistry is the study of all chemical compounds except those containing carbon, which is the field of organic chemistry. There is some overlap since both inorganic and organic chemists traditionally study organometallic compounds. Inorganic chemistry has very important ramifications for industry. Current research interests in inorganic chemistry include the discovery of new catalysts, superconductors, and drugs to combat disease.
