International Trade and Competition Law in Japan

In the highly competitive and at times unstable arena of international trade the fortunes of trading nations throughout the world are now intertwined in a system which is supposed to provide checks and balances to prevent domination by a single power. But the woeful fragility of the GATT system has been exposed and all nations must now look to their own laws for protection which the international system now seems incapable of providing. In this short synoptic account the author analyses Japanese laws which regulate business within and beyond the State.
