The coverage of this 63rd edition spans a wide range of occupations, from heads of state and major political figures to art and entertainment, education and law. It acknowledges merit and achievement on a global scale. This CD-ROM has nearly 20,000 entries, including almost 1000 completely new biographies; where possible, information is provided by the subjects themselves. There is a special section detailing the lives of 100 people from past editions who have helped shape the 20th century. There is also a separate section for the reigning royal families, together with an obituary list of people who have died since appearing in the last edition.
