Into the Light

Pastor Gerry Burney started down the path of the American Dream: military, college, family, career, but it proved illusory. After being hit and nearly killed by a car and an unfortunate divorce, Gerry poured himself into education and work. Following a short rebound marriage, he met Monica and discovered this life is only preparation for the life to come, and that true joy comes from knowing and fulfilling our God-given purpose: to bear witness to God's absolute truth, His redeeming love, and the everlasting hope He offers through Jesus Christ.

Into the Light tells the story of how God prepared Pastor Gerry to serve Him by serving others. Through his call to the ministry as a pastor, jail chaplain, and author, God's Word has been widely proclaimed and has radically transformed countless lives for God's glory. The book chronicles his various life experiences and how they were mere stepping stones to lead him to his ultimate purpose and passion in life: To love, serve, and bring glory to God.
