There are many "ISSUES" facing the World and the United States, but the book only discusses eleven, which probably cover most of those that could be considered important. The following highlight those issues. . Population - The population of the World drives many of the other issues - Food, Water, Economics, with each of these being another chapter of the book. . Inequality - This is not only between nations but is an issue within the country , including the United States. . Global Warming - This World wide issue has only recently been taken seriously by Governments, and amazingly enough there are still deniers. There are consequences for all and for some they will be catastrophic. . Terrorism - A major problem in the World, but contrary to the media, and the general view of the public, except for 9/11, it has not been a truly catastrophic event in the United States. . Health - The industrial nations are OK - The United States is failing - The poorest nations - disaster. . Education - A key to upward mobility and happiness . Religion - Most influence their own nation and some violently affect others. . Dysfunctional Government - Aren't they all?
