Jack and the Magical Portal

Jack has just started Grade 4 at his new school, but he's struggling-English is a challenge for him, and his classmate Chip bullies him. One day, Jack sits by the lake near his house and discovers something incredible: the animals of the lake can talk, and they've been waiting for him! They know that Jack is the empathetic child they need to change the world.

When Jack is pulled through a magical portal, he is able to see how others struggle, and how they react. Suddenly, he has the gift to help other kids. But will his new insights help him improve his own life?
