Javakosh

Jo Smith, an average girl with an above-average imagination, loves to write about Javakosh, a fictional island country of her own creation. She never would have guessed that one day, while heading to her grandmother's house for her summer visit, she will discover the wonderful ability to transport herself there.
Little had she dreamed of the events she would unleash once she found herself among the humble, yet mysterious people of Javakosh - beginning, innocently enough, with her Granny's pet cat Namir accidentally coming along for the ride.
Jo and Namir are separated, and the cat finds himself not only magically endowed with human speech, but unwillingly joins a group of feline felons, tasked by their human leader Karik with stealing a recently constructed watch, made of solid gold, and, unknown to the intrepid thieves, laden with strange, foreboding powers.
By stealing the watch, the thieves unwittingly place into imminent danger the life of its owner, the wizard Sebastien Quade - and, indeed, jeopardize the very existence of Javakosh itself.With the help of the Javakoshans, Jo hopes her island will survive
