Imagine waking up someday and hearing stories about domestic violence, abuse, dowry, child labour, and a hundred other restrictions imposed on people around you. The book is a compilation of stories of women and children, struggling with the basics in life, they fight each day to make their lives better.

The book unravels the life struggles of these brave hearts and tries to make their struggles and voices heard. Their stories were explored through a series of interviews by the author and have been brought forward for the reader. Through this book, the author aims to bring to the forefront those problems that are facing some communities even today, despite innumerable efforts being made to curb them.

It is heartwrenching to see such innocent souls being given an unfair share of the pie, and we hope that this book can do justice to the struggles of those inside it.
