Jimmy First is a fourteen year old boy with cerebral palsy. When he runs he falls over; his right arm is weak. He's picked on by the school bully. He's rejected by the girl of his dreams. Life isn't a lot of fun. Things start to look up when he meets Henry Crumble, the owner of the watch repair shop in the High Street Mews. A frustrating and unfulfilled existence suddenly becomes challenging and exciting. For the first time in his life, Jimmy feels valued. But he soon finds out that there is more to Henry Crumble than just repairing watches.
