Joan Fontcuberta

Joan Fontcubertas work conveys a critic to conceiving photography as evidence of reality. He aims to question the veracity attributed to photographs, by means of image and story manipulation as well as intense interaction with viewers. Fontcuberta has carried out a diverse activity within the world of photography, as a creator, teacher, critic, curator and historian. His work has been recognized with important awards such as the Spanish National Photography Award. In 2013 he became the first Spanish photographer to win the prestigious Hasselblad Award.
