Joan of Arc

This book offers a collection of documents on the historical figure Joan of Arc, who at the age of seventeen, united France against England, and at nineteen, was put on trial and subsequently burned at the stake. It is the first to put many of the most important texts documenting her life together in a single volume, with some translated in modern English for the first time. It also encourages scholars and students to re-evaluate this popular medieval figure, and assists them in engaging in using sources, and recognising the limitations and the nature of various sources.
