JOURNEY TO DESTINY is the inspirational story of Bishop L. Colene
Williams an ordinary woman God used in an extraordinary way to proclaim
the Gospel in America and internationally. It is a story told by her daughter
who witnessed this remarkable journey. It is a story that began in 1921 and
ended in 1996. It is a personal story of racism, gender challenges, economic
struggles, family, and triumphs. It is also a story of extraordinary faith,
spiritual gifts, and courage. At every transition as an evangelist, pastor,
community activist, president of her denomination's Foreign Mission Board,
and diocesan bishop, the hand of the Lord was upon her.
The 20th Century produced several gifted Pentecostal women leaders who
pioneered the way for the present generation of women in ministry. This
book presents a member of those Great Women of Pentecost.
