Chirp chirp...went the birds.Kamau opened his eyes and the first thought that came to his mind was...today was the day.He got up with excitement , raced to the bathroom, put on all his clothes and went to the kitchen for breakfast where mama was making fried eggs.

Kamau raced out of the house with his small bagpack full of his favorite toys and a small

blanket incase it got cold on his trip.

As he went outside he saw Uncle James' matatu.White with a yellow stripe going around
it,gleaming in the sun. It seemed that uncle James had washed it in the morning.

His uncle gave him a high five and handed him the car keys and told him to start the
car.Kamau took them and went to the drivers seat and fastened the seat belt. Mrs Wangai, his

teacher said that one must always wear seatbelts for safety in ones car.""
