Karma

Karma is a story of mystery and suspense, set largely in 1970's Paris. A fatal accident and chance discovery propel Adrienne on her journey as she searches for the reason why her mother, Janey, disappeared from the family home ten years previously. The story she reveals spans three decades and has its roots in the Nazi occupation of the city during the 1940's and the evils perpetrated. The consequences of those events echo down the years and little by little we begin to understand why Janey never came home and exactly what had happened to her. It is a story with many twists and turns, the shocking conclusion delivering a certain natural justice.

Marilyn Freeman has spent several years editing and publishing books for her husband and writing and creating life-story books for various private clients. She enjoys writing about relationships and the interactions of differing personalities. She loves to take a long look at her characters' lives and is fascinated by the way apparently simple decisions can cause effects that resonate down the generations, sometimes with devastating results.
