Early modern Central and Eastern Europe is an important area of study for the development of denominational diversity within Latin Christianity, the associated political challenges and the emergence of tolerant conflict solutions aimed at religious coexistence. Because religion and politics were connected in a specific way in the great rule formations between the Baltic Sea and the Adriatic, in Poland, Bohemia and Hungary. Religious freedom, which was considered part of the national freedoms, was as it were the unifying bond of society in this historical region.
