Kukulcan's Messenger

He was the first to return from the realm of the Gods.· From then on Ah Mochcouoh was looked upon with awe and jealousy as a messenger of the patron god of Chichen Itza, Kukulcan, the feathered serpent wind God. It was the gods who would direct his destiny while he lived, using him to communicate with the kings and priests of Chichen Itza; visiting him in his sleep. It was them who send him into the forest with his pregnant slave girl to hide while Chichen Itza and Mayapan fought for power until they revealed the time for him to return to the city states.
