Inevitably, time is of essence and deep-rooted memories resurface during one's old age.



Almost two decades after the death of his friend, the unnamed narrator found himself settled in one small province in the Philippines. But now, after many years, with a curious daughter and a busy wife.


The novel, containing two parts, revolves around longing for someone far gone; for a lost time that adds up to the present loneliness. A hazy repression of denial and guilt. Still, in time, after telling his memory of one magical night to his daughter, one has no choice but to face the music; to dwell more into the in-depth cause of why his friend, Maya, committed suicide.
