The journey of Larimore comes to an end in this final installment of the Ladybird Trilogy. Sentenced and awaiting execution,Vera sits in darkness and hopelessness. Even though free, Leon faces much the same darkness as his heart pulls at him to discredit what his head has tried to accept. Is Vera guilty of ending Queen Ledonna's pregnancy and ridding Larimore of her future heir or is there something more to the story than what was told at the trial?
