Last Song on Skye is T.E. Swan's debut novel, the first in a series. In this superbly woven plot, she blends her investigative experience with her love of mystery novels featuring wise women. With a bacteriology degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Ms. Swan became the first woman investigator in the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, where she worked as a field investigator in an all-male environment. She recalls when a worker at a manufacturing site pointed to her as she stood in the investigative team, and asked, "Who's that woman?" The response was, "That's no woman. She's an FDA Inspector." Eight years later, she transferred to the newly established U.S. Consumer Product Safety Administration (CPSC). While working there, she earned her M.S. in Environmental Science from the University of San Francisco. At CPSC, Ms. Swan collaborated with law enforcement agencies in investigations involving suspected criminal activity. T.E.
