Laurie is teased at school because of her big ears. Her mother buys her two puppies from a strange old lady. Soon the dogs do amazing things! And Laurie foils a bank robbery. Her ears are fixed. The dogs can talk! Laurie becomes Wonder Girl! Is this all a dream? Is it magic? The satisfying resolution, with its twists and turns, is weirdly unexpected.
