Authoritative and up-to-date, this text is written in a student-friendly yet academic style. A comprehensive reference book on management development: all-encompassing, all-embracing. Janet Firth, Head of HR, Wolverhampton Business School
An intelligent, well-read and balanced book on management. It shows an awareness of current fads, neither belittling them nor swallowing them. The approach is thoroughly sensible throughout. It offers a cornucopia of useful theoretical reflections and reading it would take students on a comprehensive tour of much of OB and HRM, while doing this in a way which is attractively focused on management development. The use of stories, alongside both new and established theories, is a very attractive blend. David Sims, Professor of Organizational Behaviour and Head of the Faculty of Management, Cass Business School
