Lets Learn First Aid

Keeping young children safe and protected should be a priority for every parent, guardian and child carer, yet research commissioned by the British Red Cross in April 2017, found that only 5% of adults had the skills and confidence to carry out First Aid in an emergency situation. 

Learn simple First Aid skills with your child, from what to do if someone is having an asthma attack or a nosebleed, to anaphylactic reactions and broken bones. Let's Learn First Aid aims to bridge the gap of knowledge for both parent/carer and child. It is intended to make the teaching of important life skills easier for parents and carers, and it contains exciting learning activities and experiments so children can learn proactively.

This book contains advice and information regularly found in publications, manuals and guidebooks from the St John Ambulance, the British Red Cross, the British Heart Foundation, the British Resus Council, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and the NHS website, plus various other UK health advisory bodies.
