Letters to the Holy One

For the believer in Christ, spiritual faith is tested every day. At times we feel the world "sifting us like wheat" just as the Lord describes to Saint Peter. With "Letters to the Holy One," we enter "Luce" the author's spiritual life through more than two hundred of his prayer encounters with God. Each prayer was spoken and recorded by one of his seven children. "Letters to the Holy One" began in the days following the tragic loss of the author's son James on September 11th 2001. Reading them, we experience the spiritual journey of a father who in the face of unspeakable loss, remains faithful to God. Through the darkness, we are lifted by the light of 'Luce's" love for God and his total devotion to Christ's Passion. His spiritual petitions were given while in deep contemplation of God's Mystery. By reflecting on them, we too are able to encounter God through the eyes of a father who remains always faithful.
