Kiernan, mother of two with marital trust deficits, and Daliah, a grade-school teacher with infertility woes, have been acquainted for sixteen years vis-à-vis their husbands, Jake and Kevin-longtime friends since college-now, in all, neighbors living in an upper-crust gated community in the suburbs of Burlington, Vermont. Starting in 2013, they experience the gilded cage of marriage with all the suspicions attributed to their Theory of Mind perch.
