Claudio brings with him a secret that aggravates the tension between Tomás and his father, lays bare his mother's hidden past, and forces Tomás to re-imagine his own identity. Told in five voices, the fast-paced story reaches a danger-filled climax. Relatable to teens and adults but written on a third to fourth grade reading level, this complete short novel is intended for use in an English as a Second Language or an Adult Basic Education classroom.
