Like Water

If pain is sometimes a recipe for disaster and destruction, then writing is the medicine that we all need to reconcile and repair our wounds and poetry is the salve that soothes our souls. Like Water is a manifestation of my belief in the healing we inherit through the transmutation of pain into the power of purpose. Like Water exist to encourage liberation through the healing journey. Just like water, emotional intelligence is an essential component to survival, especially of the mind and the soul. These poems explore various aspects of emotional health and well-being. Talking about trauma, critically assessing crises of all kinds, gently reconsidering traditions, values, and norms can all be valuable steps towards holistic mental and emotional health and well-being. Some of these poems will evoke questions; and others will present possible answers. I hope to liberate others with Like Water. I hope to restore others with my stories. And I hope to illuminate untapped potentials hidden deep within people who are often overlooked with my imaginings. I hope to make people feel loved, feel seen, feel heard, feel supported, and find healing through my works. Poetry is Like Water.
