Little Brown Girl

My inspiration for this project comes directly from the birth of my daughter Nile. When she was born I knew I would read to her but during the process I wanted the first words I read to her help set the pace for the bond I wanted to share with her throughout her development.This project is less of a children's book and more of a celebration of the father and daughter relationship. Little Brown Girl is written intentionally to be read by a father figure to a daughter figure to facilitate a bond based on literacy, spirituality, cultural awareness and active engagement.
