This book is a work of historical and cultural significance. Adoniram Judson was the first American missionary to Burma over 100 years ago. This book is not about him. This book is about the intrepid women who worked by his side.

Written by Arabella Stuart at a time when women were just beginning to be recognized as writers in Western society, this book is about the Lives of three courageous and selfless women: Mrs. Ann H. Judson, Mrs. Sarah B. Judson and Mrs. Emily C. Judson. These three were all married in succession to Adoniram Judson, and they were all, in their own right, among the earliest missionaries to Burma.
