Livin' Under Goldie's Rules

Livin' Under Goldie's Rules is a son's story of his mother's life and the influences she had on him. While their story together begins at a primitive farmstead on Bratton Creek in Arkansas, Goldie was born in Searcy County, Arkansas.

Pemberton tries to tell the story with a balance of good and bad along with some humor. A realistic story coming from a period of time with no means of communication, to living in the world as it was in 2000 when his mother's life ended. Sam elaborates on the example she set for him and the rules he tries to live by. Goldie's suggestions and discipline changed through the years. The end result is the basis for Livin' Under Goldie's Rules.
