Sue Passmore is well-known as a maritime historian (Welsh Sail and Farmers & Figureheads) and she has now turned her attention with equal zest to the countryside. Like her Llanllwchaearn: a parish history, Llanina & Cytblwyf is crammed with original research. Having previously set the parish of Llanllwchaearn in its historical context which is also applicable to Llanina & Cytblwyf, she has not repeated that information but adopted a novel approach, appropriate to their history. But like Llanllwchaearn, this book with its comprehensive Gazetteer of farms and smallholdings, will be an invaluable resource for family as well as local historians.
