Alejandro Casona plays with fantasy and reality in his theatre. We are faced with a staging of theatre within theatre, not in the Pirandelian way, but using elements of vaudeville. Trees Die Standing Up offers us a world touched by fantasy and characters that exemplify a moral idea.
