As the youngest daughter of Chinese immigrants, Bing Dempewolf wasn't expected to care for her parents. Traditionally, that responsibility should have fallen to her eldest brother. Yet, after her father's death, the role of caregiver landed on her shoulders with the sudden weight of a piano dropped from a ten-story building-fast-moving, heavy, and life-changing. Barely into her thirties, while raising her young family and managing the demands of a C-level executive role, Bing found herself in a situation where she was sandwiched between caring for her mother, who no longer seemed like herself, and tending to her own family, straddling two very different worlds, and trying to do what was best for everyone.

Bing Dempewolf is the founder and CEO of TAI-CHI Consulting, a professional HR company focused on helping veterans transition to the civilian workforce, students develop work-related experiences that complement their education, workers in transition receive career coaching and counseling, and disadvantaged workers reenter the job market. She is also the board president of The Women's Safe House in St. Louis and a board member of the St. Louis Society for the Blind and Visually Impaired. When she's not working or volunteering with community organizations, she enjoys spending time with her family and advocating for Alzheimer's and dementia patients, as well as supporting their caregivers.
