Sarah is trying to fulfill her dream of becoming a doctor. She was twenty-five and Zack was twenty-nine when they were married at the end of Book One. They wanted to start a family but realized it would be difficult if Sarah went back to medical school. Midway through medical school at Washington State University, Sarah and Zack are surprised when Sarah discovers she is pregnant.
