Loving You Through It

May this book count as a victory. A time where I ended a season of fog and walked into a season of clarity and wins! In the process of writing this book my life changed physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Many things have ceased to exist as they did at this book’s conception, and I am grateful for this! I take note of God’s ability to give me the thoughts to write a book for Christian women. Not only was this about a woman’s experience, but it was an experience I lived through. I have been every woman in this book. I have been the faithful, the struggling, the untrusting, the mentor, the giver of opportunity, and the spiritual mother to others…these roles do not come without adversity.

For the weight of this book showed itself within my walk, my dreams, and my baggage. I had to be strategic about what I chose to carry during this time. Everything needed to be purposeful and intentional for me to hold on to it. As they say when purposely lifting weights to gain muscle, this book was intentionally “getting my weight up.” For I am better as a woman because of the wisdom God has given me to impart. There was not a moment wasted from the circumstances that led me to hear God say, “Name your next book Loving You Through It.”

I pray this book raised questions about our dedication to the betterment and upbringing of Christian women. I pray, like me, it forced you to examine yourself. I pray it lends itself to workshops and sessions, that will help Christian women discuss openly the topics of healing and deliverance, and how we are responsible for one another. I hope it leads to Bible study and prayer.
