A dazzling, playful and inexhaustible book about writing, time and memory. Places represents, perhaps better than any other of his works, Perec's literature. Twelve Parisian places with some kind of personal connection to the writer. Each one of them described in duplicate: an evocation as a memory and a detailed description. Each year he visited one of these places, so that the project would develop over twelve years.
