Maid of Steele

'Maid of Steele' includes the first two stories in the 'Mrs Ferrars' series, the central character being taken from Jane Austen's novel 'Sense and Sensibility'. In 'The Witches Curricle', set principally in and around the city of Bath, a beautiful young aristocrat is suspected of murder and, in a world of flattery, intrigue, jealousy and deception, it will take all of the determination and guile of the former Miss Lucy Steele to uncover the startling and chilling truth. 'The Legacy of Minos' sees Lucy employ her talents in York. Lady Elizabeth Lunsford seeks her assistance after a horse and jewels vanish. Bizarre poems take on an ever increasing sense of menace and, when past and present family rivalries further complicate matters, Mrs Ferrars faces a desperate race against time.
