Malingering and Illness Deception

Malingering is a form of illness deception commonly defined as the 'wilful, intentional attempt to simulate or exaggerate illness in the pursuit of a consciously desired end'. It has medical, legal and social implications and is of significant concern to those working in welfare systems and medical insurance agencies.
