Already at the age of 21, Mans Sperber belonged to the circle around Alfred Adler, dealt intensively with the individual psychology founded by Adler and was considered his master student. As Sperber turned to the Communist Party, he distanced himself from Adler, with whom he eventually broke. However, he later distanced himself from said party and spent his life intensively dealing with topics and methods of individual psychology, on which he also published. The book "Mans Sperber als Individualpsychologe" explores the question of whether and to what extent individual psychology influenced Mans Sperber's writing. This is done in the sense of a search for traces of individual psychological models and concepts in Sperber's literary and autobiographical texts and how these texts deal with them.
