Martina McTripaw and the Goldmeister General

When a family member or older friend develops memory problems, it can be hard for children to understand what is happening or what to do.  Using lovable animal characters, this book tells the story of Martina McTripaw and her older friend, the Goldmeister General.

Martina loved hanging out with her friend, but didn't know how to handle it when the Goldmeister became confused and forgetful.  With the help of her mom Lila and her counselor, Dr. Earl Grey,  Martina learns that the Goldmeister General has a disease called Alzheimer's dementia, and she learns how to help her friend.
