The nationally recognized credit-by-exam DSST program helps students earn college credits for learning acquired outside the traditional classroom-learning from on-the-job training, reading, or independent study. Approximately 50,000 students took a DSST last year-more than 50% of whom were funded by the military. Nearly 2,000 U.S. colleges and universities recognize the DSST program and award college credit for passing scores.
