Joan Lawson loves the Muskoka pines of her childhood, but can't see the forest for the trees. With a 'shocking' talent for spotting soulmates and an idea for a business planning romantic get-aways, she has moved north looking for emotional balance.

But Phil Burgess, the new manager at the Silver Birch resort, brings change that upends her equilibrium. He's tearing down the old dance hall, but that means he must tear down Joan's defenses as well.
