May Belong to Night

 On August 13th, 1948, a town called Whistle lost its iconic clock tower to a great fire. The same night of Whistle's fire, the daughter of the mayor, Mary Thomas, body was fished out of a river with a bullet in her head. 

     The culprit many believed was responsible for both crimes was a ruthless bank robber. After escaping a shootout with the FBI, the fugitive stumbled upon Whistle and hid in plain sight under the alias of Jay Gibson. What surprised many was not only the fact that this Jay Gibson was a black gangster passing as a white man but that he wooed Mary's best friend, Alice Sayre, and manipulated her into becoming his accomplice. After setting the fire and murdering Mary, the two lovers set their sights on Canada where they met their bloody end.

       May Belong to Night is a tale that explains how Alice fell victim to Jay's charm and unveil what motivated her to betray her hometown. This tale will lay out the details of a notorious criminal's hiatus in Whistle and will reveal who is truly responsible for the tragedy that occurred on the night of August the 13th.
